Teenage Pregnancy Project
A 25 minutes preventative information video production about teenage pregnancy. The structure of this truly participatory piece was built around a chat show format where real young mothers took part in several workshops including; Drama, Music, Web Design, Animation, Radio and Video Production. All these were used to formulate the chat show, presented and hosted by teenage mothers themselves. The guest on the show were also teenage parents who were invited to talk about their sexual experiences and the difficulties of becoming a parent at such a young age. Drama sketches, radio debates and vox pops from Barking and Dagenham town centre were used to support the show, touching on subjects ranging from sex and alcohol to contraception and absent fathers.

Barking and Dagenham Links video
A Concise 5-minute video on Barking and Dagenham Links.
This is a presenter lead film, introducing the viewer to the Local Involvement Network programme in Barking & Dagenham.The presenter introduces what links is, why people should get involved, how it effects you as an individual and the fact links will make sure that everybody’s voice is heard.
The film contains views from the community expressing what they want from their health and social care.
As well as interviews with Thom Wilson (group manager for commissioning and supporting people) and mark Elverstone (community empowerment manger), the film provides information on how to become a links member and the difference you can make by voicing your needs and requirements.

Individual Budgets video
A 10-minute video demonstrating the benefits of taking up individual budgets, explaining that it provides users with greater choice and control of the services that they require.
The film uses stylized case studies to highlight the positive changes individual budget users have experienced since taking up the scheme. For example 21 year old Penny could choose a career who’s interest are similar to hers, allowing her to have a fun social life. An individual budget puts the person at the center of the decision making with the services they would like

The History of Mencap video and DVD
A film that spans the 60 year history of the Charity Mencap from its humble origins to the present day successes. The film used archive footage as well as real life testimonies and interviews with the key individuals and was presented by Lord Rix himself. Policy proofing and impact assessment video

Children's Participation video
A highly ambitious 32 minute collaboration film within which the young people from various organisations throughout Barking and Dagenham themselves produced elements, after undertaking workshops in music, drama, video production and art, all at the University of East London Dockland campus. The film contains drama, comedy, animation, personal testimonies, interviews and so much more. Without doubt this film stands as an excellent example of a truly participatory project.

A 15 minutes promotional video about the work of the Tenant Involvement Unit In the London borough of Enfield. It highlights the benefits of tenants getting involved on decisions made about their homes by using stylized case studies and interviews. The Social Model video
A 20 minutes presenter lead documentary video that explained the social model of disability in an accessible and entertaining way. The film included dramatized case studies as well as more traditional techniques such as interviews personal and personal testaments.

Community Strategy video
A 15 minutes narrated promotional video, highlighting the work of the Barking & Dagenham Partnership and their strategy to make Barking and Dagenham a better place to live, work and spend leisure time. As well as using a narrator we used local residence to link the different sections together and as contributors, thus enhancing the videos ability to relate directly to its target audience.
